Real Life Super Heroes

As you can clearly tell Dylan and I love our super heroes. Pretty much all of our posts are about comics and their characters. So I’m going to delve into a topic that most would never touch. The idea of us, your every day, boring as dirt humans, having real super powers. I watched a video on YouTube and it got me thinking. Check this out. Oh my gosh, I was mind blown. While some are obviously cooler than others, it’s still so exciting to imagine humans with powers.

The video says a lot itself, so I don’t need to say much about it. But I do want to talk about what I think would be the coolest powers to have!

3. To have super strength. I’m a weak little girl with absolutely no ability to fend for myself. I was taught to go for the groin! But really, super strength could come in handy in all types on situations. Lifting, fighting, lifting… fighting……. Okay I guess it doesn’t really have that much impact BUT it would still be awesome.

2. Telekinetic I think is the right word. To move things with your mind. AH! I can just see the pound adding on because I would be so lazy if I had this ability! And can I just say how funny it would be to scare people with this power? Like moving crap around and they have no idea how it’s happening?! I’m dead! But in the aspect of being a hero, the power would be limitless. You enemy would never know what was coming next.

1. I have to be typical and say to be Telepathic because with this power comes extreme responsibility and growth. You can virtually do anything with this, once you have mastered it. I would really just want to know what people are thinking about me though. As a girl with really strong opinions of other, I can’t help but be curious about what they think of me. Now, don’t misconstrue that for anything else that curiosity because then I’ll have to go and make a strong opinion about you. With this power though, you are always one step ahead! Unless of course there is a special helmet out there that blocks you from getting into some ones head.

Guys, I really want to know what power you would want and why! I’ll get Dylan to make a post on a later date about what he would like to have as well! Until then…….

See ya, BYE! :)

What Do We Want From Marvel Pt. 2

This is going to be a continuation of the post below, so without further delay…

First off we got X-Men: The Days of Future Past. X-Men really separated themselves from the trainwreck that was “The Last Stand” in “First Class”. They introduced some of the regular characters when they were younger and some newbies, in an exhilarating storyline. This movie first and foremost I want to see the utter disregard for human life by Magneto. Dude is a bad-A for sue, and he raised some eyebrows in the previous installment, only setting the stage for the potential of this movie! If this storyline is half as good as “First Class” it could put X-Men in a good position with its fans for a long time!

If you don’t know this already, I (Chelsea) am an X-Men Fanatic! I love all things X-men! Even though Fox has totally screwed up pretty much the whole story line, I have high hopes that this movie will tie some of it together. Or at least offer an explanation for some of our confusion. I guess the movie is supposed to take place ten years after First Class as well as Last Stand. A lot of time has went by and a lot can happen in ten years. I’m interested mostly in seeing how they explain Jennifer Lawrences character as Mystique transforming into the more hateful, vengeful and ruthless one that Rebecca Romijn portrayed in the first three movies. When we see the time travel into the past, Mystique will have been with Magento for ten years. I’m assuming she has seen a lot of death and even taken part in it herself at this point. I think we will also see her struggling ten years into the future with her not mutant self. That is if they follow the events of The Last Stand. Knowing them they won’t and they’ll probably throw Professor Xavier in their with a freaking mowhawk. No but really, it freaking kills me how badly the movies were executed. Or maybe it just thrown off because of how ignorant both of the Wolverine movies were. poster-trioGranted they are both great stand alone movies, they make no sense chronologically with the other films. They completely threw off the juju they had going. Back to Days of Future Past Though! I am also really excited to see if they start hinting at Apocalypse! You can’t tell me that wouldn’t make a BAD story line. Oh and did I mention the all start cast that’s coming back together?! All the original heroes and the newer ones! Ah! Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Halle Berry (Storm), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Michael Fassbender (Magneto young), Evan Peters (Quick Silver), Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde), Nicholous Hoult (Beast), James McAvoy (Professor X), Ann Paquin (Rouge)… Oh my gosh it is never ending! I won’t bore you with more. Check our IMDB to see all the castings though. I also want to add one more thing, since Quick Silver is in this movie, we are going to see Magneto impregnate some one!!! I want to know who, why, how (well not literally how… just how they met), where. I want to know it all. Okay, I’m sure you are sick of my rambling now… onto the next movie!

I guess the next movie on the list is Guardians of the Galaxy. I don’t think there is a release date for it yet, correct me if I am wrong though. It’s probably set some where towards summer of 2014. guardians-of-the-galaxy-concept-art-finalDylan thinks that this movie is going to be beyond stupid, but I’m trusting on Marvel and I think it will all make sense in the grand scheme of things. I literally know nothing about the comic, I just know that it involves Thanos. Who is supposed to be the bad guy of the next Avengers movie. Basically, I’m just looking forward to the movie for some cool hints into upcoming films.

Now we get to listen to Dylan go on about how stupid a talking raccoon is…….

First of all; I resent that. Second, you’re totally right! It’s not really my fault, I never really knew that the Guardians existed let alone were a part of the Marvel Universe. I keep hearing all this talk about how good the script is, how dead on the acting is, how they depicted each character perfectly, yada yada yada. Point blank the only things that make me excited for this movie is a talking Raccoon (Rocket Raccoon voiced by Bradley Cooper), a former wrestler in Batista getting a shot on the silver screen, and the slim possibility of a nifty end credits scene. So there.

The next movie in the works is a reboot of The Fantastic Four. The first films, I (Chelsea) feel was casted spot on but others think they were flops. 2728510-fantastic_four_by_jp_rartSo I have really high hopes that they will cast even better people this time around. There was a lot of talk about adding diversity to the films by casting Michael B. Jordan as The Human Torch. I was really thrown off by this initially because obviously Sue Storm and Johnny Storm are brother and sister, but they didn’t want to cast a black female for her role. I am trusting now that since Michael B. Jordan has taken the spot officially, they will explain very thoroughly how their biracial family came about. I think they best route to take would be that he was adopted, simply because he can’t pass for mixed because he is so dark skinned. And Sue being bleach blonde can’t pass for mixed either. Really, that’s my only concerns for the movies. I know no matter what the plot is, it’ll be good and action packed.

Personallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, I really don’t care about the whole brother and sister thing; here is why. While the casting was pretty good last time around, the plot and dialogue left a lot to be desired. While origins are very important to superheroes and any other related story it doesn’t matter to me that the Human Torch is going to be black. Michael B Jordan has put himself on the map with a solid performance on TV hit Friday Night Lights, then followed it up with many different roles in many different movies such as Chronicle, Red Tails, and his most recent Fruitvale Station. All showcase his tremendous acting ability, and his cockness womanizer vibe is a match made in heaven for Mr. Johnny Storm. Now for the rest of the cast; I have no doubt that they will bring a better script this time around, but the big question is casting. That will ultimately determine the success/failure of this movie.

Last confirmed movie but certainly not least, the movie that shook the nation, the most anticipated film in recent memory, The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Dylan here, and I get the biggest nerd boner when it comes to the Avengers. Age_of_Ultron_Vol_1_1_Midtown_Comics_VariantFirst off look at the people portraying them! Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barden/Hawkeye), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk), Scarlett Johannson (Natasha Romanov/Black Widow), and Samuel L. Jackson (Colonel Nick Fury) as the core 6 and leader! Look at that again! Not to mention who is coming on board for this movie, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (famous for Kick-A**) will be playing Pietro Maximoff aka Quicksilver, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlett Witch, and sidekick Anthony Mackie as The Falcon!!!! That’s a crazy amount of star talent on one screen! Not to mention Ultron being played as James Spader (The Blacklist) and maybe possibly Loki (Tom Hiddleston), talk about the maniacal coupling they could make. Then you have the easter eggs of new heroes, great acting, and a promise of the best action movie that your eyes will ever see! AHHHHHHHH!!!! Too much to handle! System Overload……

Chelsea’s turn to explain why Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch must be the exact same skin tone……….

Look okay, it just doesn’t make sense to me to change the original story line. If they are white in the comic keep them that way. If they are black the same goes. It’s like when they casted Halle Berry at Cat Woman, IT MADE 0 SENSE! Cat Woman is a white woman with long dark hair!!! I am confused however about why they are bring Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch into the movie though. I just associate them more with X-Men and their father Magneto than the Avengers. Since they are bringing Quicksilver into the new X-Men movie, a lot of confusion is going to take place being that there are two different guys playing the part in two different films. If they ever were planning on doing an Avengers vs. X-men thing, they’re screwed now. I hope that they don’t start making silly mistakes like that, the same way the X-men movies did. I think really highly of the creative process for The Avengers and all the other Marvel films, so I’m just clinching my fists at this idea.

I had to throw in this extremely adorable fan art picture on the baby Avengers and Ultron. Even on the playground Ultron was kicking butt and taking names!

Okay guys, come back next time for the next three movies in this installment!

See ya, BYE! :)

What Do We Want From Marvel? pt. 1

Marvel has made it clear that they have movies in development to keep us entertained until 2021, as of right now. (click that link for a more in-depth explanation of their grand scheme and so I don’t have to site a bunch of sources by paraphrasing it! :D) At the pace they are going I think they are bound to keep them coming even after that though. But, what we are going to report to you today is, basically what we want to see out of the movies to come. We have a rough idea of what movies are for sure in the works and which ones will probably be tossed. We just want to shed some light onto which plots, characters, sequels, etc. we want to see happen.

To kick off the list, we are going to speculate about the next Marvel film to hit theatres.

Thor: The Dark World (November 8, 2013)

Even though this plot is already set in stone, we just want to talk a little about what we hope it entails. I (Chelsea) haven’t heard much of thor%20the%20dark%20world%20posteranything about the movie, I didn’t even really like the first one that much so I can’t generate any excitement right now. The only thing I am really hoping to see from the movie is Thor’s ignorance to Earth lingo and the naïve and HILARIOUS things he says. “I’ll have another!” You can not tell me you didn’t die laughing at that point in the movie! I also love Kat Dennings so she’s a plus to the film. I almost end up loving the supporting characters more than I like the main characters because the offer comic relief. Again, I’m a girl. The action is cool, the bad guys are cool but in the end I love a good laugh to tie it all together.

Dylan here, been awhile right? Ya miss me? I know ya did. The first Thor movie really surprised me, I thought they did a great job surrounding Hemsworth with a strong supporting cast. Chels mentions Dennings, but you also have Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, and an underrated role in Idris Elba as Heimdall. The aforementioned actor/actresses all make a return along with comedy ace Chris O’Dowd! But the most important element in the Thor movie, and a staple for the Avengers movies going forward is undoubtedly Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Loki might seem annoying to others but everything about him intrigues me. For one, he is the God of mischief (oh, behave) always creating mayhem in both Asgard, and Earth. But the piece that ties it all together is his brotherly rivalry with Thor, they each strive to be better than the other, they are complete oppposites, and the banter that go back and fourth between the two is always fun too! Also really looking forward to seeing more of Asgard, as raved upon by the critics!

Next on the line up we have…….

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (April 4, 2014)

Uhmmm well… Again, here I am clueless about this movie. Captain America was a little nerdy guy, very scrawny, turned super human by a super serum. His best friend Bucky, who thinks Cap let him die come back for revenge. I guess the only thing I can really wish to happen is that Cap can save Bucky as apposed to killing him. I mean, I can imagine that’s the hardest thing in the world to do. Also, Black Widow will be in Winter-Solider_810x443this movie. Maybe her and Cap will spark up a romance? Who knows? But really who cares?

Lol at Chels’s typical girl answer of killing a best friend. Lets get real, Cap is in present day, this is after the Avengers, he is working for SHIELD, and he still thinks Fury is shady. As for The Winter Soldier (Bucky) The whole “I don’t want to kill you, but I will if I have to” will more than likely happen. As will the whole romance with Black Widow, actually they’ll probably wring that for all its worth. What I want to see is that relationship with Fury pushed to the limit. In the video game Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 SHIELD draws up a “Superhuman Registration Act” making the heroes sign themselves to SHIELD as weapons. This puts Ironman (weapon freak) and Cap (patriot of freedom) at odd, and forcing the other heroes to pick a side. While I think this may be a long way away, (Avengers 2 main villain will be Ultron) the thought of this being a feature film with all of our favorite heroes together gives me chills. And it all starts with Cap vs. Fury.

Next we get to talk about something I am actually really excited about.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (May 2, 2014)

I absolutely LOVE the cast of this film. I love the way they started the films off, where we learn a little more about Parkers parents (Which they completely failed to do in the Toby days). So what I want to see from this movie is an even deeper look into his sketchy past. I want to know for sure how they died, if his the_amazing_spider_man_2_teaser_posterfather actually messed with his sons genes and if there will be hints into maybe a Sinister Six movie. I have heard a lot about how Emma Stone voiced the desire to stay true to the comics, regarding Gwen Stacie’s death. If you aren’t aware of how it happens, she is supposed to be falling off a building or something and Peter shoots a web to save her but the whiplash from the catch snaps her neck, leaving the blood on his hands. I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT. So after that, they will bring in Mary Jane Watson to be Peters lover. There is also going to be another female supporting role. The Black Cat, who is Spidey’s love lover. Can I just say, I love when they have more than one bad guy in a movie. So far they have like three for sure appearing in this movie. So that means three times the stories to follow, three times the action and possibly even more than that. I just need to stop because if I don’t I will ramble forever. I am just TOO excited for this movie.

She would write a freaking book on my favorite superhero. So first and foremost Garfield kicks Maguires butt when it comes to portraying Peter Parker. Maguire did a good job of showing the nerdy side, but lacked in the witty sarcasm that is a staple for the webslinger. Garfield showed the best of both worlds in his first film as the webhead. This makes me (and apparently Marvel) wonder how far can we push this thing? In the first installment (Maguire) they intergrated the cliché Green Goblin, Doc Oc, and Venom. While some of the casting was dead on, the product they finished with left us wanting more. In The Amazing Spiderman, not only does it have the Lizard, but it showcases how the cops really don’t like that a vigilante is running around the streets of Manhattan making them look bad. Look for that to continue, and the beginning of what promises to be The Sinister Six. I won’t go all broken record on ya (if you look at previous posts you will see my obsession with the S6) but I’m looking forward to the storyline of Electro; how he gets his powers, what turns him on Spidey, and how awesome they make his powers with the beauty of CGI and computer animation (also Rhino in the same regard). I also look forward to how they are going to integrate the Green Goblin in this film, seeing as he is kinda the reason Gwen Stacy is falling to her certain death when Parker reaches for her…

We will be doing this in a series because like we said, there are SO many movies. Check back tomorrow for the next three!

See ya, BYE! :)

Charmed Revitalizing

A story of the most powerful witches of all time, three sisters discover their powers after reconnecting from years of separation. The series Charmed started in 1998 and immediately captivated it’s audience. Many credit the show for paving a way for similar shows, including vampires, werewolves, etc. Granted others would blame Twilight… I would like to keep credit where credit is due. I personally have watched all eight seasons too many times to keep count. It has everything you need in it, for males and females. From action, romance, deception, anarchy, death, angels and demons.

So let’s talk about what is really going on here! News released on the 25th that CBS will be relaunching the show. I don’t know if that means starting over completely and recreating the iconic roles of Prue (the eldest sister who faces an untimely death), Piper (the middle sister), Phoebe (the youngest turned middle child) and lastly Paige (the half sister no one knew about). Or if they will pick up where they left off on the season finale. Following the adulthood of the sisters children.

I definitely would want Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, and Rose McGowan to return and carry on their mother hood roles, along side of their trusty husbands. I also would love to see Kaley Cuoco return as Billie Jenkins, a young witch they take under their wing and practically adopt into the family. I guess that’s enough about that. If you haven’t watch the original series, I would do that because if this reboot really happens you’re going to bet they will make you want to watch it. You find all eight seasons on Netflix and be prepared to be addicted.

One last tid bit about the show, you will see all kinds of starts that have blown up in the industry today, have guest starred on the show. I can’t even list them all because it’s a tremendous amount!

See ya, BYE! :)

Our Top 3: Marvel Villains

Chelsea here, kicking off our top three Marvel Villains/Villainess!

#3 The Green Goblin, Mr. Norman Osborn is most commonly associated with the web slinging hero Spiderman. Osborn’s son, Harry, is as we know Peter Parkers best friend. GreenGoblinDafoeThis is a complicated story line but to simplify it… Norman injects himself with a serum he created and makes himself The Green Goblin. Spiderman accidently kills Norman and Harry seeks revenge on the vigilante. Unaware the Parker is the masked hero, he goes after his best friend with hopes to avenge his fathers death. I love the father, son story. It’s endearing and wacky all at the same time.

#2 is going to Magneto. I just have an obsession for the X-Men. All of them intrigue me, good and bad. Magneto who was a victim of the Holocaust, witnessing is own mother being 406px-Magneto_430murdered. Talk about some baggage to hold on to. No wonder he is so vengeful of non mutants. Let’s talk about his powers though, since I didn’t do that with The Green Goblin. HE CONTROLS ALL THINGS METAL. There are so many things in this world he has the advantage on. There was a scene in X-Men First class where Magneto rips out a mans golden tooth. Like, talk about a terribly torturous technique. And a tongue twister… unintended.

#1 has to be an mutant as well, so who is she? Ahhhh… It’s a SHE! Mystique and all of her many different forms. While her normal blue self is beautiful in her own way, I could never kjhkjhget sick of stealing some one else’s face. It’s like dressing up for Halloween all the time! But let’s talk about the true advantages of her mutants self. She can literally take any place, of any person, in the entire world. Her voice also changes to whomever she has transformed into, making it virtually impossible to tell if she is in fact the actual person. In all of the movies you see her embody several different people, and important ones at that, and get away with it. On top of all that, she can kiss some butt. I would not want to go up against her in hand to hand combat.

My turn now! Magneto at #2? Tisk, tisk.

#3 Ultron. I’m going with Ultron because he is one of the more fascinating villains in the Marvel universe. Created by scientist Hank Pym in an ill attempt to recreate originalartificial intelligence, Ultron sprung to life in a ruthless way by lashing out and attacking the one that gave him life. There are many reasons as to why he makes the top 3; he has no regard for human life, he has no compassionate side, and the most frustrating part to Ultron is he cannot be put out of his misery. Even if the Avengers defeat him he has the ability of finding refuge in surrounding computers and other technology. When he resurfaces he is always that much tougher to defeat, as he is constantly “upgrading” himself. The star villain of the approaching Avengers blockbuster locks down the trifecta.

#2 The Sinister Six. Yes, I understand that each of these villains Spiderman has handled individually with ease. It is the fact that they come together with only one goal in mind; defeat Spiderman. Their strength is in numbers and they each bring something new to the table. Vulture has his high-flying antics and wisdom. Lizard has super human strength and agility, did I mention that he was a genius? Electro has the power to wield, and manipulate all things electric. Rhino is just a wrecking ball that cannot be stopped. Mysterio has the whole escape and trickery thing down. Kraven the Hunter is a brilliant strategist and also has a distinct savagery about his motives. Couple all of that together and you have one balanced stable that is to be reckoned with, untitled

#1 Last but not least, the father of all things evil; Doctor Doom. Doom is a special villain because, like Xavier and Magneto, he used to be friends with his protagonist Reed Richards. His entire body is armored by an indestructible metal so he isn’t3083489-comic+scan+376

exactly vulnerable and can definitely pack a punch. His lust for power is what drives Doom, constantly striving for world domination. If all of this isn’t enough to have support of the Fantastic 4’s worse enemy, then let me throw one more fact at you. Victor Von Doom is the inspiration for arguably the greatest cinematic villain of all time; Darth Vader. Boom.

So, there it is. Let us know what you think and give us some ideas for our next posts!

See ya, BYE! :)

Our Top 3: Mavel Female Characters

Dylan will be starting us off again, fingers crossed he doesn’t steal any of my favorite… There are limited female roles in most comics period and to find the cools ones is even harder. So here we go!

#3: Rogue. “Touch me and I’ll kill you.” While she probably never actually said this, it definitely holds true. Anna Marie finds out in the Rogue-x-men-24957901-942-1250most unfortunate of ways, attempting to plant one on her boyfriend and he stiffens up, ceases to breathe, and shows no signs of life. Talk about a mood kill. She can fly, and has the touch of death. What else do you need? Her white streak of hair and southern belle act is always charming, but make no mistake Rogue is a beast and therefore gains spot #3.

#2 Storm. While Chelsea will probably say its incredibly cliché and cheating to put two of the X-Men into my rankings, I don’t really have a choice. Ororo Munroe has the power to control all the weather. Rain, snow, hail, ice, wind, lightning, freezing 1333934-storm100cold temperatures, and blistering hot temperatures. That means she can make tornadoes appear out of thin air, turn up the heat on you, or go all Zues on ya and just freaking strike you with a lightning bolt. Couple her mastery of the elements with the ability to fly and her whited out eyeballs when it all happens, and Storm easily makes it at #2.

#1. The Black Widow. This can get a little dicey. As I saw yesterday a lot of you didn’t agree with my pick of Nightcrawler on my top 3 males (watch the opening of X2 untitledagain and see if that changes your mind). Yes; Natasha Romanov doesn’t technically have any super powers. Newsflash though… Neither does Iron Man OR Batman. Say what you will Natasha is a butt-kicking, ginger headed spy who knows how to get what she wants. A skilled martial artist, an experienced gunman, er woman, and a master tactician. Her role as an ally to SHIELD further proves how brilliant she is, and her merely being mentioned in the same breath as The First Avengers speaks dividends on how her combat skills would compare to another meager spy. Black Widow is a B.A.B. What what.

Well he did, he took my Rouge!

#3 I have to give my number three spot to Rogue, even though Dylan did too. I can recollect being around 8 or 9 and watching the first X-Men movie. 14884_1242677302642_300_400Rouge accidently kills her boyfriend then runs away from home and stumbles across the incredibly confused Logan or as we better know him, The Wolverine. Together they are rescued from Sabretooth and Magneto by Storm and Cyclops, bringing them back to Xavier. From there Rouge sparks up a relationship with Bobby Drake, The Ice Man. Logan becomes extremely protective of her and their relationship continues to grow. So, other than the fact she has the touch of death, I genuinely created a like for her because she was so relatable.

#2 on my list is Emma Frost. My taste for her, like Rouge came from the X-Men movies as well. FirstEmma_Frost_by_diablo2003 Class was an amazing movie and after seeing the movie I was much more interested in Emma’s character then her appearance in Origins. (Quick side note rant: The Wolverine Origins movie is so out of place and completely throws off all the other movies, it literally annoys me to no avail… Rant over.) With that being said, Emma has the ability to crystalize herself, making her almost impenetrable, she also has telepathic abilities as well as telekinetic potential. If she ever managed to tap into all of her powers, she would be a force to mess with.

#1 no surprise here, the most powerful mutant in the comic world, male and female… Jean Grey AKA jean_grey_is_phoenix_by_trktrx-d2yjo5mThe Phoenix. You cannot deny that she is the greatest power to exist. When Professor X first encountered Jean at a young age, she was unable to control her powers because of the immensity of them. Xavier was forced to suppress her telepathic powers therefor forcing her to focus on her telekinesis, allowing her to telepathic powers to grow at their own rate. These intentions were pure in that he didn’t want the strength of any of her powers to out grow the others, which would have resulted in the demise of herself. The coolest part about Jean is her alter ego or split personality, The Phoenix. When in Phoenix form she has what we call the Phoenix Force where her powers escalate beyond imagination. I’m not even going to get into all the things she can do when in Phoenix form because the list is forever long. I’ll just leave it at she IS and will ALWAYS be the most powerful mutant.

There ya have it, our top three Female Marvel Heroins. Like I said with the males… we hope we didn’t offend anyone by not mentioning your faves. If you want to share those with us we would love to hear what you have to say. Ultimately we hope to have opened some insight into our favorite as well!

See ya, BYE! :)

Mortal Kombat vs. DC

Chelsea here, with some Mortal Kombat ranting! I haven’t the slightest idea when the news for this video game was released but I just stumbled across the character photos and I was mind blown. Not only do the Mortal Kombat characters look great but they did the DC characters justice as well. I think the title of the blog gives away the title of the game. Mortal Kombat vs. DC is in stores now! This is a remake of a game if I am thinking correctly and looks pretty cool from what I saw. If you’ve played it or own it let me know what you think of it! If you want some more information on the game head over to www. and check it out.

Now let’s bask in the glory of graphic animation…

So to start off the DC world we have Superman and his antagonist Lex Luthor, actually looking cooler than ever.

And the notoriously creepy Joker, along side of his favorite person to bully, Batman himself.

Here we have the most commonly known DC women, Wonder Woman and Cat Woman.

These guys who look virtually the same. Shazam on the left and The Flash on the right. Who ever created these guys were obviously oblivious to the fact they look exactly alike.

Lastly we see, in order from left to right, Dark Seid, Deathstroke and The Green Lantern.

I couldn’t start off the MK side with out the most common enemies, Sub-Zero and Scorpion.

This is Shao Kahn and what they are calling Dark Kahn.

Kano and Baraka are two of my least favorite characters, but here they are.

Lui Kang and his rival Shang Tsung.

The partners in crime Sonya Blade and Jax.

And last… but certainly not least… Princess Kitana!

Don’t forget to check out for more details on the game!

Sinister Six Casting

Dylan, has a slight obsession with the concept of The Sinister Six. So to entertain this thought we are going to share who we think should play each villain.

Rather than following the comic book depictions of the Sinister Six, we are going to contribute three new characters to the existing villains in the current Amazing Spiderman films.

The Lizard:

Who was played by Rhys Ifans in The Amazing Spiderman with Andrew Garfield, would return if the character joined the rhys-ifans-on-the-amazing-spider-man-s-the-lizard-106329-470-75sinister six. It wouldn’t make any sense to recast the character and honestly it would just confuse people. But you are wondering, why would The Lizard come back at all? Well, Curt Connors is the only person who knows Peter Parkers true identity in this movies world and that could be something pivotal to the plot. Also Connors has insight into the untimely death of Parkers parents. I think that gives him plenty of reason to come back and kill off the vigilante but he knows he can’t do it alone, therefor assembling the Sinister Six. spiderman-lizard-from-movieRecruiting Electro and Rhino along the way is a given because they are appearing in the next Amazing Spiderman. We can assume there will be unfinished business with those two as well. So let’s delve into Electro…

Electro: spider-man-2-electro

We don’t know much about the plot of the new spidey movie coming out, other than tasm-2-spider-man-jamie-foxxElectro will be played by Jamie Foxx and Rhino by Paul Giamatti. We don’t know how Electro will be transformed into his villainess form, let alone any motive he would have towards targeting Spiderman. So we are just going to leave that at that. While there was some fuss about how they would make Electro’s costume not incredibly tacky, once these photos were leaked there was nothing but positive feed back. We are personally thrilled to see Foxx’s performance and think the whole movie is going to be mind blowing. You can see these two photos where Foxx is being depicted as an elder man, who’s lacking self confidence. There is a true transformation once his powers are received. He now has this “I hate the world!” look going for him and it’s terrifyingly perfect for the character.

The same goes for Giamatti, who is portraying a really bad A looking Rhino. We don’t know much about this movie at all. Sony has done a really great job of keeping it really professional and secret. Amazing+Spider-Man+Rhino+ChargingSome might find that annoying but I think it is truly bringing tons of anticipations. As far as The Rhino and Electro go, we would hope they will return with The Sinister Six, creating one of the most complex plots of comic movie history.

Kraven The Hunter:Kraven-the-Hunter

Gerard Butler is our pick for the Russian hunter, with particular taste for our hero Spiderman. While Butler fits the tall, dark and handsome persona of The Hunter, he rounds it all off with his ability to grow a barbaric type beard and his dark mane. We hope to see Kraven as a villain in The Six simply because of his ruthlessness and his specific desire to catch our web slinger as his ultimate game.

In NBC’s television drama, Heroes,  Zachary Quinto exhibits elusive and eery qualities as the series antagonist. We most commonly associate Quinto with his more popular role of Spack in Star Trek, where he is also slightly odd MV5BMTQ3MjEzOTU4MV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMjMwMTY0Mg@@__V1__SX640_SY828_and a little comical. Mysterio is a tortured man, who decides to take havoc on the city for no reason. His knowledge of special effects is what makes it possible for him to create these elaborate high-jacks, where he ultimately blames them on other people. Thus making him so mysterious. So with Quinto’s abilty to already portray a mysterious character we see him fit to fill the 5Mysteriofish bowl.

John Malkovich was originally casted as The Vulture in the fourth installment of Tobey McQuire’s Spiderman series. But after the third spider-man-4-vultureimagesCAR4TV9Vmovie was a complete disaster, the fourth failed to exist. So we feel it’s only fitting that if The Vulture is to return, Malkovich should get his chance to show us his depiction of the decrepit man, seeking youth again. We have already John play the role of a villain in a movie, ex. The Knock Around Guys, so we know he has the potential. But ultimately we just want to see Malkovich hooked up to harness’s floating across The Big Apple.

Our Top 3: Male Marvel Characters

Dylan is up first to pick his top three all time favorite Marvel Comic characters. Let’s see how incredible cliché he can be!

Jerkface :p

My name is Dylan, my opinion is superior to yours. So without further adieu my top three Heroes- or teams- of the most dominant comic and cinema brand, Marvel.

#3 Nightcrawler.

Nightcrawler-nightcrawler-30495185-600-927I know what you’re thinking, no really I do. “Nightcrawler?!?! Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!” No I’m not, allow me to explain.First of all Kurt Wagner (His secret identity) is a mutant by definition, but what makes him so interesting is he is the spawn of two other mutants! His father demonic warlord Azazel and more familiar to the casual, Mystique. Moving on from his bloodline this guy adopts the blue skin of his mother, and the demonic depiction of his father. His power, which he got from his father, is what makes him so unique. Nightcrawler has the ability to teleport. Wherever. Whenever. Poof. Deuces. He’s gone. Sabretooth attacks? Poof, right behind him now. Magneto’s lair about to blow? Poof, your are at safety by the time it explodes. This unique power alone is enough to put the Blue guy in my top 3.

#2 Deadpool.

This is kind of a different pick from most favorites as well, but he is easier to support than Nightcrawler. DEADPOOL-PS3-boxWade Wilson, his real name, is an esteemed marksman, and also a highly trained swordsman. What seperates “The Merc of Mouth” from any other ordinary assassin or mercenary is his ability to heal, much like Wolverine. But what’s so fun about Deadpool is his sanity, or lack thereof. Deadpool knows he is in a comic, knows he is in a video game, and if they ever made a movie he would know that he was in it too. Many of his peers think he is crazy, assuming he is just talking to himself, but obviously Deadpool is ahead of the game and claims a the number 2 spot on my top 3.

#1 Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a spider can!

That’s right! No metal suits, no mutation, no super soilder serum, no gamma ray Spidrman-spider-man-34793178-1680-1050generation, no Norse mythology! Just a good ole smarty pants getting bitten by a radioactive (I feel it in my bones!) spider. This gives Peter Parker the ability to climb walls, and to spin, shoot, and sling webs just like his arachnid predecessor. Not only that but he has crazy reflexes thanks to his Spidey Sense, and is super fast, strong, and agile. While I can argue Spidey has it the roughest when it comes to shear volume in villains (Green Goblin, Venom, Cranage, Sinister Six, etc….) that’s not why I admire him the most. Pete sits there and takes it on the chin, over and over again as his peers talk about his alter ego being nothing but a law breaking vigilante. Whats worse? He has to take pictures of him “law breaking” to make an honest living! HIs witty sarcasm, and sticky situations (Beyonder, Madame Webb, etc…) round out why he is simply the best.

That’s that, don’t bother reading Chelsea’s because I win. And we already have your click… Just kidding folks.

Until next time, I bid you farewell.

Okay well despite my husband’s need to put me down, I’m going to continue with my top three male Marvel Comic heroes… Just a quick disclaimer here, we are going to do a list of our favorite Marvel villains and female characters later on, so don’t think our lists are completely dumb.

679055-440px_ironman_head_1_#3 is going to have to go to the one and only Iron Man.

Now, let me explain myself before you become completely disinterested. Tony Stark is a genius and a brilliantly sarcastic one at that. His blunt approach at just about everything is what makes me love him the most. Before the Iron Man movie, I honestly couldn’t have given two craps about him but after Robert Downey Jr.’s depiction of him, I was sold along side of America. The fact that he’s rolling in dough due to his extensive knowledge in weaponry, passed down from his father, makes him have all types of insight into upgrading his suit. So there ya go, that’s about all I have to say about the delectable Tony Stark.

#2 is going to go to Gambit.

65_GambitYou’ll see a trend here, I like the guys who are complete jack holes to people… Something about their “I couldn’t careless” attitude makes them desirable to me. I always root for them because I feel they deserve it, as apposed to someone like Nightcrawler, who just wants pity and attention. (Yes, that was a blow at my husband.) So anyways, Remy LeBeau and his ability to control potential and kinetic energy has me captivated. Most often we see Gambit with a deck of cards, which to his enemies seems puny. Therefore giving Gambit the advantage because he is underestimated, when he demonstrates his powers and that card goes flying through their wind pipe, we see where the true strength lies.

#1 is kind of cliché, so after I gave Dylan a hard time I ended up putting Wolverine as my number one.

Please don’t chastise me! He’s one of the most well known Marvel heroes and I typically wouldn’t acknowledge him as being superior but I mean he’s too bad not too.Wolverine-Comic-Book Let’s face it, he’s the ultimate hero. Aside from the whole part where he lost his memory and has no idea who he is, blah blah blah… He has adamantium running through his body, his claws are virtually indestructible, unless cut with adamantium itself. He’s immortal because he self heals. But then again the adamantium is his biggest downfall because Magneto has the edge over him there. My real love for him comes from his attitude, again with the guys who don’t give a crap about anything. He comes off as hard and careless but deep down all he really longs for is to remember who he was before and how he got to where he is now.

Well, there ya have it folks. Our top three Male Marvel Characters. I hope we didn’t entirely offend anyone by leaving out your favorite. Maybe we even opened up some insight on some new characters you may not have been interested in. Let us know what you think and who your favorite’s are.

See ya, BYE. :)
